Beer and Blog Las Vegas

Okay, I’m sure you all know the plan by now. It’s Thursday. You leave a DM to @BeerNBlogVegas, @Sara_Mooney, or @VegasGeek,  or a comment on this blog that you’ll be attending. After work, you bring yourself (and quite possibly a few blogging friends) out to the Freakin Frog at 6 p.m. It’s that simple!

Who’s Going?

Hello, beer & bloggers & tweeple!  There is a special beer event this weekend — let’s have a Tweetup!

The MonteLago Village Craft Beer Festival is tomorrow, Saturday, March 14, from 3-7pm in MonteLago Village in the Lakes Las Vegas Resort in Henderson, Nevada.  Tickets are $20 and proceeds go to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Southern Nevada.

Last weekend’s wind blew another week away from the year but brought another edition of Beer and Blog. The same rules apply as in the previous eight weeks: please DM @BeerNBlogVegas or @Sara_Mooney or leave a comment below if you’ll be attending.  We do this as a courtesy to the Freakin Frog so they can plan their staffing.

Three Four other items of note:

1. If you take any photos, please post them to the Beer & Blog Las Vegas Flickr group. Tag them with #bnblv so that everyone can find them.
2. A Vimeo Beer and Blog Las Vegas Group for videos was also created.  Right now it’s moderated, so please request permission to join through the site.  We trust the BNBLV attendees, but we don’t trust the other interwebs riff-raff.
3. Has anyone been following @twitchhiker ? Would we be interested in helping Paul in some way if he makes his way to Sin City? Let Sara know.

Thursday, March 5, 2009.  Hey, everyone.  It’s that time of the week when we gather, raise a pint, and talk about all things geek.  Okay, blogging, but it usually branches off into other side topics.  As usual we’ll be at Freakin Frog, 4700 South Maryland Pkwy (next to Adams Ribs and across from UNLV) starting at 6 p.m.  You’re more than welcome to show up early since happy hour starts at 5 p.m. Two for one on select beers! We’re a fairly informal and welcoming group, so feel free to roll in any time.  There are usually a few stragglers who hang on through the bands that start at 9 p.m.

We’re also actively looking for ideas for potential speakers or topics for future gatherings.  If you have an idea, speaker, or questions, please leave it in the comments.
